Ambassador Rahm Emanuel, a proud “Navy dad,” visited the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln together with Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa on April 23.
Ambassador Emanuel viewed flight demonstrations, discussed regional security with Navy leaders, and met with U.S. service men and women. Standing alongside Foreign Minister Hayashi, Ambassador Emanuel said, “In the face of growing threats, the U.S.-Japan Alliance will shield our shared values and interests, and deter those who seek to rule through coercion and raw power.”
