Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield Represents the U.S. at Olympics Closing Ceremony
U.S. Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield visited Japan Aug. 7-9 to participate in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Closing Ceremony and to meet with her Japanese government counterparts.
She tweeted: “It was an honor to join @POTUS & @FLOTUS to meet with @TeamUSA and celebrate their accomplishments at the #TokyoOlympics! Our athletes continue to inspire me on and off the field.”
Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield also tweeted: “Great to meet with Chief Cabinet Secretary Kato today in Tokyo to discuss how our alliance is tackling our most urgent global challenges. We reaffirmed the importance of working together and with regional partners to promote global peace, security, and prosperity.”
