Fellowships Promote U.S.-Japan Artistic Collaboration
Chargé d’Affaires Joseph Young hosted a reception in honor of the Japan-U.S. Friendship Commission and the U.S.-Japan Creative Artists Fellowship Program of the National Endowment for the Arts.
Under the U.S.-Japan Creative Artists Fellowship Program, five leading U.S.-based artists spent up to five months in Japan researching and experiencing both the traditional and contemporary artistic milieu of Japan. This year, in honor of the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the fellowships have evolved into a collaborative team approach.
