text displaying world intellectual property dayEach April 26 on World Intellectual Property Day, we discuss how intellectual property (IP) rights impact our lives and how the enforcement of these rights encourages innovation that we have come to depend on to keep our world moving forward.

Innovations require a comprehensive IP framework to flourish. The recipe for such a framework includes, among other things, a legal regime that ensures IP rights can be obtained and enforced. In addition, regulatory and fiscal measures incentivize research and development as well as job growth. Lastly, due process and transparency of law enforcement, regulators, and the judiciary are essential, especially in the protection and enforcement of intellectual property assets and investments.
