Winter Olympics Wrap Up with Raucous Closing Ceremony

Fireworks exploded over the Olympic Stadium on Feb. 25, during the closing ceremony, marking the end of a successful 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

Advisor to the President Ivanka Trump attended the closing ceremony and later tweeted: “Thank you to President Moon, First Lady Kim & the people of South Korea for the warm hospitality you showed me, our Presidential Delegation & #TeamUSA during the #WinterOlympics. It was a deeply inspiring celebration of global sportsmanship and teamwork. 고맙습니다 [Thank you]!”

Meanwhile @Tokyo2020 tweeted: “Thank you @PyeongChang2018 for being a most hospitable host and for countless memorable moments! Look out for the next Olympic journey in #Tokyo2020!”
