Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Liz Allen met today in Tokyo with Japan’s Minister for World Expo 2025, Jimi Hanako, to discuss planning and preparations for Expo 2025 Osaka. During the meeting, Under Secretary Allen revealed the official theme for the USA Pavilion, “Imagine What We Can Create Together,” as well as the official logo (at right).
The USA Pavilion theme encourages visitors to envision themselves studying at top-tier U.S. universities, touring various parts of the United States, appreciating the country’s natural beauty, supporting sustainability efforts, and following our journey back to the moon and beyond.
Expo 2025 Osaka will open in April 2025 and is expected to welcome more than 28 million global visitors over the course of its six-month duration. As the largest public diplomacy event on the world stage, Expo allows people to connect directly with United States’ culture, history, and values, even if they are not able to visit in person.
The United States plans to reveal the U.S. pavilion design in Tokyo early next year.
