At their September 26 meeting, President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe affirmed the importance of the strong, stable, and mutually beneficial trade and economic relationship between the U.S. and Japan. The President reiterated the importance of reciprocal trade, as well as reducing the trade deficit with Japan and other countries.
