U.S and Japan Agree to Expand Flights at Haneda Airport

U.S. and Japanese officials shake handsU.S. and Japanese officials have signed a deal calling for 24 additional daily flights between Haneda Airport and U.S. cities, paving the way for more visits and closer business ties. This will benefit both the American and Japanese communities.

The new flights are expected to begin in March 2020 ahead of the summer 2020 traffic season and in time for the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Transportation Affairs Hugo Yon and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Assistant Vice-Minister for International Aviation Jotaro Horiuchi signed on behalf of their respective delegations.
